Mission Statement

ISC2 Hawaii strives to educateempower, embrace and engage the community in cyber.

ISC2 Hawaii is a 501(c)(3) with the mission to provide the State of Hawaii with world-class cybersecurity education, inspiration, and networking. We seek to advance the field of cybersecurity by providing resources and support to students, professionals, and community members across the islands. Our goal is to empower individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to protect their digital lives, their communities, and the state at large.

We believe that education is key to combating the growing threats of cybercrime and cybersecurity breaches. Through our training and educational programs, we strive to equip individuals at all levels with the necessary skills to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber threats. Our curriculum is designed to meet the evolving needs of the cybersecurity industry and provides practical, hands-on training that prepares individuals for real-world scenarios.

In addition to education, we aim to inspire the next generation of cybersecurity leaders. Through mentorship programs, networking events, and outreach to schools and colleges, we seek to encourage young people to pursue careers in cybersecurity. By fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration, we hope to create a thriving cybersecurity community in Hawaii that will lead the way in developing new technologies and strategies to combat cyber threats.

At ISC2 Hawaii, we recognize that effective cybersecurity requires a holistic approach. It is not enough to simply provide training and education; we must also build connections across the community to share knowledge, resources, and best practices. Our organization serves as a hub for cybersecurity professionals, students, and community members to connect and collaborate. Through our events, webinars, and social media platforms, we aim to build a strong and supportive network of cybersecurity experts across Hawaii.

Ultimately, our mission is to create a safer, more secure digital world for everyone in Hawaii. We believe that cybersecurity is not just a technical issue, but a social and ethical one as well. By promoting cybersecurity education, inspiring the next generation of cybersecurity leaders, connecting the community, and advocating for ethical and responsible use of technology, we hope to create a brighter future for Hawaii and beyond.
